On April 21–22, 2026, MGIMO will host the GR&Lobbying Case Championship, the third edition of the case competition in GR and lobbying, organized by Baikal Lobridge in partnership with the MGIMO Law Club.
As the first case championship in Russia and the CIS fully dedicated to GR and lobbying, it gives a unique chance to solve real-world challenges such as evaluating legal risks and spotting regulatory opportunities for business, developing GR strategies and preparing proposals for improving the legal regulation to a panel of experts.
Held annually, the event has already become a highlight for students interested in public-private cooperation and regulatory policy. In 2024–2025, over 500 participants from 40 cities across Russia joined. Teams consistently impress with their legal analysis, solution quality, and presentation skills.
The competition is open to undergraduate, specialist, and graduate students from Russian universities and consists of four stages:
Participants gain the chance to present their work to the professional community and receive feedback from experts.
Winners will have the opportunity to intern at Baikal Lobridge and receive personalized certificates and memorable prizes. Registration is open until March 14 on the championship website.

- Remote Qualifiers (March 15–29): analysis of legislative risks and regulatory opportunities for business
- Semifinal (April 21): presentation of a GR strategy to minimize regulatory risks identified in the qualifiers
- Final (April 22): defending solutions and proposing alternative legal regulations to stakeholders
