Lake Baikal Foundation
In 2016, Baikal Lobridge established the Lake Baikal Foundation for Applied Environmental Research and Development. The mission of the Foundation is to preserve Lake Baikal by creating the conditions for sustainable water resources management at both national and international levels.
We apply the same systematic approach to philanthropy as we do to engage with the government. We support the projects designed to enhance country’s environmental sustainability and improve the quality of life for its people

The Foundation implements programs in water conservation, biodiversity preservation, sustainable tourism development, and environmental education.
The Foundation's project portfolio includes: a comprehensive program for studying the Baikal seal, grants for scientists researching endangered and rare species of flora and fauna in the Baikal Natural Territory, independent research on the state of the Lake Baikal ecosystem, and implemented waste separation projects in specially protected natural areas.
The Foundation participates in the work of expert communities aimed at improving Russia's environmental legislation. The Foundation is an accredited member of UNEP and the World Water Council.

The Foundation's Key Focus Areas
The establishment of the Foundation was a logical extension of the company's development strategy, offering a systematic approach to corporate philanthropy that responds to the UN Sustainable Development Goals for clean water and sanitation, as well as the conservation of terrestrial ecosystems.
The company’s founder Eduard Voytenko decided to allocate 10% of company’s profits to the Foundation development. Thus, the company contributes to the implementation of specific projects aimed at preserving the Baikal natural territory and Lake Baikal. Furthermore, every company’s client automatically becomes engaged to the Foundation’s initiatives and projects, which are planned and developed in close collaboration with expert community for each Foundation’s focus area.
