Baikal Lobridge has been mentioned in the government report “On the Condition of Lake Baikal and Measures for Its Protection in 2024,” published by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.

The document provides an overview of the key aspects of the environmental situation at Lake Baikal, along with a set of measures taken to protect its unique ecosystem. Special attention in the report is given to the role of the private sector in environmental initiatives. Alongside projects by VEB.RF, Rosselkhozbank, Rosneft, Yandex Cloud, and other major companies, Baikal Lobridge’s role in supporting the core operations of the Lake Baikal Foundation in the interest of sustainable development of the Baikal natural territory is highlighted.

In 2016, Baikal Lobridge played a key role in establishing the Lake Baikal Foundation to promote structured philanthropic efforts in environmental protection at Baikal and to extend this model to other regions of Russia. For nearly ten years, the company and its clients have contributed to comprehensive initiatives aimed at preserving biodiversity, water resources, and forests — initiatives whose importance has been recognized by experts at both national and international levels. In addition to financial contributions, the company regularly provides the Foundation with analytical and government relations support, assisting in strategic projects focused on preserving unique natural ecosystems.

The Lake Baikal Foundation ranks among the top 10 fundraising NGOs specializing in environmental and animal welfare sectors in terms of partnership potential and transparency (RAEX, 2020–2024). It is an accredited organization of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), holds observer status at the UNEP United Nations Environment Assembly, participates as an observer in the annual UN Climate Change Conferences, and is the first and only member from Russia of the World Water Council.
