The Results of Baikal Lobridge’s Participation in COP28

Anastasia Tsvetkova, Partner, Director of International Communications and CSR Practice at Baikal Lobridge, summarized the results of participation in the UN Climate Summit COP28.

At COP28, the firm’s partner held working meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for Water Resources, as well as with a delegation from the Eurasian Economic Commission. Representing the environmental practices of the Lake Baikal Foundation, Anastasia Tsvetkova spoke at the Water Day organized by the Federal Agency for Water Resources in the Russian pavilion and at a joint event between Kazakhstan and France dedicated to the launch of the organizing committee of the “One Water” Summit, which will be held in New York in 2024.

During the negotiations and statements at the discussions, Anastasia Tsvetkova presented Baikal Lobridge’s expertise in the field of sustainable development, in particular the capabilities of the ESG regulatory analytics team, the formation of expert communities and GR support for climate initiatives.

Anastasia Tsvetkova acted as the head of the delegation from the Lake Baikal Foundation, which received observer status at COP-28. The Lake Baikal Foundation was established by Baikal Lobridge in 2016. In the near future, the Foundation will release a report on the results of the conference with a focus on such thematic areas as agriculture and water, fossil fuels and financing of climate projects.
